If you want proper protection from the sun you need to use a broad-spectrum sun protectant cream – a dedicated product that’s sole purpose is to protect your skin from the damage the sun does to it.
Use either SPF 30 or 50+, nothing lower.
How much SPF to apply?
Most people apply too little sunscreen. Apply 2 milligrams per square centimetre. This equate to approximately:
Face and neck: 2 finger-lenght
Chest: 2 teaspoons
Back: 2 teaspoons
Arms: 2 teaspoons per arm
Legs: 2-3 teaspoons per leg, depending on your ehigh
Do not waste money on a really expensive anti-aging moisturiser with SPF.. SPF is an all-encompassing product that will overtake any active or expensive ingredients in your skincare.
Acne sufferers: while the sun may have a drying effect on your acne; a kit if SPF products are comedogenic. Use oil-free suncreens if possible.
